The Bulacan State University implemented synchronous online classes for all levels in its campuses in the province in anticipation of the nationwide week-long transport strike of public utility vehicle drivers that will start on Monday, March 6. Under the Office Memorandum 2023-016, released by Bulacan State University President Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon on March 3, the synchronous online classes in all the university’s campuses will be held from March 6 to 11. It is implemented for the continuation of classes in view of the scheduled undergraduate midterm examinations on March 13 to 18. To avoid the disruption of the university's day-to-day operations, the university president announced that non-academic personnel with no personal service vehicle will be provided with a pick-up/drop-off point service. The drivers' schedule, contact information, and point locations for the pick-up or drop-off point service will be provided by the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance. Gascon said the memorandum is subject to immediate revocation once public transportation accessibility is normalized within the strike period.
