The Pasig City local government is ready to accept applications for this year's Government Internship Program (GIP) starting Tuesday, Jan. 10.
The GIP is one of the local government's youth employment programs that allow students and out of school youth (OSY) to work at the City Hall and other government offices and departments in order to help them gain knowledge, experience, and expertise.
The GIP will be conducted for three-months wherein interns are required to report to the Pasig City Hall from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A total of 250 slots is open to students and out of school youth (OSYs) who are 18 to 30 years old and who are residents of Pasig City.
Those who have finished senior high school courses (under the new curriculum), went to college (including those who graduated and those who did not finish their degree), completed a two-year technical vocation course, or is a National Certificate (NC) Level II holder are qualified to apply for the GIP.
OSYs who are interested in joining the program must not be currently enrolled.
The link to the online registration form will be posted on the Pasig City Public Information Office (PIO) Facebook Page on Tuesday. Applicants may access it from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Only the first 250 applicants will be assessed based on their qualifications and completed requirements. In case some applicants among the first 250 will not pass, screeners from PESO will evaluate applicants from the next batches until all the slots are filled up.
Applicants must prepare soft copies of their updated resume with 2x2 picture, birth or baptismal certificate, transcript of records/grades or diploma, barangay indigency, certificate of good moral conduct from the barangay, and a Covid-19 vaccination card, which will be uploaded to the site.
Personnel from the Pasig City Public Employment Service Office (PESO) will only contact the applicants who will pass the first screening.
