Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon has warned city government employees and the public against giving in to people who name-drop him or his office.

During the flag-raising ceremony at the Muntinlupa City hall on Monday, Aug. 1, Biazon said he is officially implementing the “no name-dropping policy.”

“I would like to inform or advise everyone, do not give in, or huwag pagbibigyan kapag may gumagamit ng pangalan ng inyong punong lungsod for whatever purpose it may be lalong-lalo na kung it is against normal procedure, normal process (I would like to inform or advise everyone, do not give in, do not entertain those who use the name of your city mayor for whatever purpose it may be, especially if it is against the normal procedure, normal process,” said Biazon.

He added, “E sinasabi. ‘sabi kasi ni mayor e.’ Wag tayong maggi-give in to that. Because I will not authorize anything na ginagamit lang naman ang aking pangalan. Officially there is a ‘no name-dropping policy.’ (They will say, ‘the mayor said.’ Do not give in to that. Because I will not authorize anything that will only use my name. Officially there is now a ‘no name-dropping policy).’”

“That not only extends to the name of Mayor Ruffy Biazon but it extends to the name of the Office of the Mayor,” he warned.

Biazon said this policy applies especially to those who are going against the normal procedure, normal process or instruction.

“Ignore nyo na lang and please submit to me the name of who is name-dropping. (Please ignore it and please submit to me the name who is name-dropping),” he added.

He said, “Let everyone be reminded, not just the city employees but the general public as well. As I have said, I speak softly but I carry a big stick. Wag sanang mabali yung no name-dropping policy (I hope the no name-dropping policy will not be violated).”
