Man arrested for raping daughter 8 times in Baguio

BAGUIO CITY – Police arrested a 38-year-old man on Thursday, Dec. 1, for allegedly raping his minor daughter eight times for five years in this city.

The suspect, the Baguio City Police Office Station 9’s (Irisan) No. 1 and this city’s fourth most wanted person, was arrested based on a warrant issued by the Branch 2, Regional Trial Court, First Judicial Region, Baguio City for eight counts of statutory rape.

The court recommended no bail for the suspect.

Victim told police that she was first raped by her father in April 2017.

The sexual abuse was repeated seven more times in five years until last September.

She said she was raped during midnight when everyone was asleep.

The suspect is now under the custody of the Irisan police station for documentation before turn over to the issuing court.
