SPD anti-carnapping group arrests No. 2 most wanted in Las Piñas


Members of the Southern Police District's (SPD) Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU) arrested Las Piñas City's No. 2 most wanted person on Monday night, Oct. 17.

SPD Director, Gen. Kirby John Brion Kraft, said the suspect, identified as Jhonvie Quiñanola, 22, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. along Miranda Compound, Barangay Zapote, Las Piñas City.

Kraft said members of the DACU were conducting an anti-criminality operation when they received information on the whereabouts of the suspect who is facing two counts of rape and acts of lasciviousness.

He said the DACU immediately proceeded to the place where the suspect was seen and served the warrant of arrest issued by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez of Las Piñas City Family Court Branch 2 for two counts of rape with no bail recommended.

Kraft said another warrant of arrest for act of lasciviousness with bail recommended at P200, 000 was also issued against the suspect by Marquez.

The SPD chief said the suspect is now detained at the Las Piñas police's custodial facility.
