M2 World Championship Finals MVP Karl “Karltzy” Nepomuceno continued to display his top, deadly form, running wild on his Julian pick as ECHO clobbered Omega Esports, 2-0, in the MPL Philippine Season 10 at the ICITE Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Karltzy authored the Game 1 comeback for ECHO after successfully defending their base against four Omega players before eventually scoring a clutch Maniac which practically set the tone for the dominant rout that enabled them to take pole with an 8-2 record and 20 points.

An abyssal arrow from Patrick “E2max” Caidic’s Selena that landed on Karltzy triggered the massive team fight at the 20-min mark where Omega, with their immense mechanical skills, outplayed and scored a three-man wipe of ECHO.

Omega went for the base push but Sanford “Sanford” Vinuya’s Paquito and Tristan “Yawi” Cabrera managed to buy some time allowing Karltzy to respawn and defend the base against four enemy heroes.

A perfectly executed combo of the enhanced sword and knock-up from his Julian bursted down the E2max’s Selena and Duane “Kelra” Pillas’ Beatrix to stop the base push before taking down the other two complete the defense.

With one hero left on the side of Omega, Karltzy’s and the rest of the respawned ECHO heroes went on for the GG push and drew first blood with a 24-16 Game 1 win.

Karltzy led all scorers with a 12-4-8 KDA while Sanji and Yawi who set the tempo for ECHO finished with a 6-4-14 and 1-3-12 tallies on the Mathilda and Tank Chou picks.

The Orca’s ace then followed it up with another impressive Julian game in the second match finishing with a 7-1-7 line as ECHO ran wild with a 16-5 win in just 10-minutes of play for the series clinching win.

ECHO led from the start to finish after clamping down on the Omega’s late game lineup anchored on Kelra’s gold lane Claude pick.
