Ken Louie “Kzen” Pile proved to be the answer to Nexplay Evos' woes as he spearheaded a gritty 2-1 reverse sweep of TNC to finally put an end to a six-game losing streak in the MPL Philippines Season 10 at the ICITE Auditorium in Libis, Quezon City, on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Facing the potential of absorbing another stinging defeat after dropping the opening game of the series, Kzen carried the Tigers on his back and pulled off a clutch Heavy Spin initiation using his Akai in the final Lord fight in Game 2 to trigger the comeback victory that all but pumped some life to the team’s playoff hopes with 2-7 record good for eight points.
Trailing for the most part of the contest and with the game on the line, Kzen went around the TNC players who were securing their positions in time for the 20-minute evolved Lord. He then initiated with the Heavy Spin that pinned down Robee “Yasuwo” Pormicille’s Popol and Kupa and Ben “Benthings” Maglaque’s Edith.
That ultimately turned things around for Nexplay Evos as they went for the death push in the ensuing plays to score the equalizer, 6-1, in Game 2.
Kzen unloaded a perfect 3-0-9- KDA while Jeniel “Yellyhaze” Bata-anon provided support with a 8-2-5 KDA on the Xavier including the key Dawning Light ultimate that got the job done in Kzen’s initiation on Yasuwo’s Popol.
Riding the momentum of the Game 2 comeback, NXPE gave Mariusz “Donut” Tan’s Bruno enough space to quickly reach its power spike. Kzen then put on the finishing touches with a clutch retribution on the final Lord fight in Game 3 to seal the deal with a 6-4 win.
TNC looked poised to take the victory after completing a dominant 16-7 Game 1 win. Mark “Kramm” Rusiana made life hard for NXPE core heroes diving through the enemy backlines with his Esmeralda to contain Yellyhaze’s Yve and Donut’s Irithel. The effort however proved to be futile as TNC couldn’t close out the match.
