Two maintenance crew reportedly died after an elevator collapsed inside a building located in Makati City early Friday morning, July 8.
In a report from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the incident occurred at Burgundy Corporation Tower along Gil Puyat Avenue, Barangay Pio Del Pilar, Makati City at around 3:46 a.m.
A report indicated that the elevator which was undergoing repair, dropped from the 38th floor to the 6th floor where the maintenance crew identified as Manuel Linayao and Rey Miguel Gilera were fixing the elevator at around 2:55 a.m. Two other elevator installers were reportedly hurt in the incident.
The first responders recovered the body of the first victim at 6:44 a.m. The second body was recovered a few hours later.
