Bianca Pagdanganan staggered with a 1-over-par 73 while Yuka Saso and Dottie Ardina bounced back in the second round of the Cognizant Founders Cup in Clifton, New Jersey Friday (Saturday in Manila).
Pagdanganan floundered with a double-bogey on the par-4 third hole before a rollercoaster back nine that saw her shooting four birdies against three bogeys.
With her first-round 66, the Tokyo Olympian tallied a two-round total of 139 to slip at joint 22nd place and trail solo leader Minjee Lee by nine strokes.
Saso, meanwhile, recovered from a first-round 73 by firing an eagle-aided 68 for a 142 aggregate at joint 32nd place.
The reigning US Women’s Open champion blasted an eagle 3 on the 14th and had four birdies against two bogeys on the fifth and ninth.
Ardina also made the cut with a 70, marred by a single bogey on the par-4 16th hole. She earlier fired birdies on the first, ninth and 10th for a two-round total of 142 at joint 61.
