Vice presidential candidate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio promises that her UniTeam partnership with presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will continue President Rodrigo Duterte’s policies and reform should they be elected.

“Ang dala ko ay ang turo ng aking mga magulang sa pagtatrabaho doon sa Davao City, na sa pagtatrabaho ko, pagsisilbi ko sa ating bayan, dapat pantay–pantay ang lahat, walang mahirap walang mayaman (I will bring what my parents taught me about working in Davao City, wherein I serve the country equally–everyone should be equal, no rich and no poor),” Duterte-Carpio said during a UniTeam rally held in Caloocan City on Saturday, Feb. 19.
She explained that she and Marcos would continue President Duterte’s policy and economic reform, specifically the “Build, Build, Build” infrastructural initiative, and the controversial war on drugs.
“We also commit na ipagpatuloy ang mga reporma na nagawa ni Pangulong Duterte sa ating bansa, ang pagpapatuloy ng infrastructure development o ang ‘Build, Build, Build’ at ang pagsugpo ng krimen at droga sa ating bansa (that we will continue President Duterte’s reforms in our country: the ‘Build, Build, Build’ and the prevention of crime and drugs in our country),” she added.
Several Northern Luzon governors have endorsed the Marcos-Duterte tandem including Isabela Gov. Rodolfo Albano III; Cagayan Governor Manuel Mamba; Ilocos Norte Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc; Ilocos Sur Gov. Ryan Luis Singson; La Union Gov. Emmanuel Ortega III; and Pangasinan Gov. Amado Espino III.
Duterte-Carpio is gunning for the vice presidential seat under the Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats party while Partido Federal ng Pilipinas member Marcos is vying for the presidency in the 2022 polls.
