The “Suf2Sawa Wi-Fi Project” aims to provide an accessible internet connection to indigents in Metro Manila. According to PCUP, the initiative is part of the “top three” priority programs of the Commission. PCUP’s other “priority programs” include the Urban Poor Privilege Card and Adopt an Urban Poor Community Program.

“Kabilang sa mga benepisyo na maaaring makuha ng mga maralitang pamayanan sa buong Kamaynilaan ang access sa libreng Wi-Fi at internet connection na magagamit ng mga kabataan sa kanilang pag-aaral (Among the benefits that the poor communities in Metro Manila could get is the access to free Wi-Fi and internet connection that the youth can use in their education),” said PCUP chairperson and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Alvin Feliciano in a Facebook post.

The Commission disclosed that the official pilot testing of the said program will be conducted at the Upper Lilac Chapel, 83 Lilac St., West Fairview, Quezon City on Monday, Feb. 21.
