The municipal government of Angono has recorded on Friday (Jan. 7) 91 new COVID-19 cases, the highest single day tally since the pandemic was declared in March 2020, Mayor Jeri Mae Calderon said in her Facebook post.
As of 7 p.m. of Jan. 7, the town had a total of 217 active cases with Barangay San Isidro on top of the list with 77 active cases including 30 new cases, based on the data from the Angono Municipal Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.
The municipal government is encouraging residents who may have concerns to call its 24-hour online assistance desk, the “E-Serbisyong May Puso Angono, Rizal”, through the following numbers:

Mayor Calderon has also appealed to her constituents to pray for everyone’s safety and the recovery of those afflicted with the disease.
She advised them to refrain from holding any mass gathering or celebration, and to continue wearing face masks.
