Jung Hae-in, BLACKPINK Jisoo’s table-read video for K-drama 'Snowdrop' released

Korean broadcast station JTBC released the table-read video of Korean stars Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo for their drama “Snowdrop.”

“Snowdrop” will premiere on JTBC on Dec. 18 and will also be subsequently available on Walt Disney’s OTT (over-the-top) video streaming platform Disney+.

“Snowdrop” is set in Seoul in 1987 and tells the story of a desperate love that goes against the times of Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in), a student in a prestigious university who, covered in blood, suddenly goes into a women’s university dormitory. Young Ro (Jisoo), a female college student, hides and heals him in the midst of surveillance and crisis.

During the table-read, or when actors in a drama, film or theater production gather around a table to read their dialogues, “Snowdrop” director Jo Hyun-tak, who helmed the Korean drama “Sky Castle,” said, “I’ll do my best as a director whom you guys can always talk to and feel comfortable with.”

“As the story goes, he gets swept in this spiral of events,” Jung Hae-in said of his character in “Snowdrop.”

About her character Young Ro, Jisoo said, “She gets involved in something with Soo-ho. Please watch the drama on air to see what she gets involved in and what happens to her.”

On the table-read, Jung Hae-in said, “The director, writers and other actors helped me relax so I could comfortably enjoy script reading.”

Jisoo said it was her first time to experience a table-read “and I felt so energetic because everyone helped me relax and cheered me up a lot.”

“Snowdrop” is Jung Hae-in’s next drama project after Netflix’s “D.P.,” which created a buzz as it told the story of the military service in South Korea. For Jisoo, this will be her TV drama debut.
