Cases of COVID-19 in the province of Batanes continue to rise as it registered 34 new confirmed infections in its latest count.
A post on its official Facebook Page reveals the province has a total of 156 active cases as of Tuesday, September 21.
This is more than 30 cases higher than the previous day when Batanes registered 121 active cases Monday.
Majority of the active cases are in the municipality of Basco which has recorded 109 COVID-19 patients.
Monday afternoon Batanes released Executive Order No. 25 placing the entire province under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from September 20 to October 4.
Meantime there have been 17 cases who already recovered from COVID-19 while no one has died from the dreaded virus in Batanes.
