Grade 10 student hailed as 'hero' for saving dog


A grade 10 student has been hailed as a hero for saving a dog that fell into a river during the onslaught of Typhoon Fabian.

The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) recognized student Angelo Diolata Flores for his "bravery and compassion" after he saved a dog that fell into the river Biñan, Laguna.

"Many were touched by his bravery and compassion and sent help for the young boy," AKF wrote on Facebook.

Flores was given a brand new phone, a scholarship, and grocery items.

"Truly, good karma comes to those who are kind to animals. Thank you, Angelo. You are an inspiration to everyone!"
