Kids learn, win prizes in police ‘Learning on Wheels’ program

SANTIAGO CITY, Isabela – Children learn and win prizes in the “Learning on Wheels” program of the 4th Platoon, Rizal Patrol Base, Santiago City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) based here.

Police Lt. Junatess Acacio, 4th Platoon Leader, led the program launched by Police Lt. Col. Ednalyn Pamor, commander, CMFC, in P7, Sitio Butubur, Barangay Rizal, this city, recently.

Police taught children and asked simple questions. Children who answered correctly were given the option to choose stuffed toys or candies as their prize.

Children showed enthusiasm in the program as noted by the police personnel, giving the lawmen the motivation to pursue the project.

Republic Act (RA) No. 8353 (Anti-Rape Law of 1997) and Safe Handling and Unsafe Handling were also taught to the children to enable them to prevent abuse.

Police ensured that minimum safety health protocols were implemented in the activity.
