Presidential spokesman Harry Roque and Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Debold Sinas need to be investigated if indeed they violated health protocols, Senator Panfilo M. Lacson said today.

Lacson said the two face sanctions or disciplinary action if an investigation finds them to have violated health protocols related to the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

He said it is basic that government officials should be models in following government rules.

The public would hesitate to follow rules and regulations if they themselves flout the rules, he pointed out.

Both Roque and Sinas have tested COVID-19 positive.

Sinas is being criticized for not going through health screening protocols when he went to Calapan, Oriental Mindoro.
