Camillian priest Rev. Fr. Dan Cancino, executive secretary of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines-Episcopal Commission on Health Care, has called on the government to conduct more information campaigns on the vaccines against COVID-19.
A more aggressive information drive, he said, will assure the public of the efficacy and safety of the vaccines that have started to arrive in the country.
“It is important and necessary to create and spread awareness on the safety of the vaccines, including the adverse reactions if there are any. The public must be fully informed so they will be guided on their expectations and decision to get themselves vaccinated,” Cancino said over Radio Veritas.
In line with its call for a more aggressive information drive, the CBCP Health Care Commission conducted a webinar “Ating Alamin: Bakuna sa COVID-19,” on March 1 and 4 which aims to encourage the public to get themselves vaccinated against COVID-19.
