CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – As part of the Prevent-Detect-Isolate-Treat-Reintegrate strategy campaign against COVID-19 headed by Mayor Gilbert "Bebong" Gatchalian, an additional isolation facility was constructed at the Malolos Sports and Convention Center in this city.

Gatchalian said with the help of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) the isolation facility that has 48-bed capacity is scheduled to open next week. This will be the temporary shelter of the individuals that have close contact with persons tested positive of the coronavirus 2019 disease waiting for their swab test result.

Gatchalian said there is a big need for isolation facilities particularly now that the transmission of the deadly virus that enters the body through the nose, mouth, and eyes is fast.

"Kung maihiwalay agad ang mga taong nagpositibo sa COVID-19 at maging yaong hinihinalang nahawahan, ang pagkalat ng virus ay mapigilan," (If the COVID-19 positive persons will be immediately isolated as well as those suspected infected, the transmission of the virus can be prevented)," Gatchalian said.

Aside from this, the mayor also said they launched a Barangay Disiplina Brigade, every now and then reminder to the community about the healthy guidelines, dissemination of the right information, and giving importance to "Bayanihan" a solution to the pandemic.
