Held at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, the pilot forum centered on addressing traffic congestion in Metro Manila. During his opening remarks, Program Executive Director Engr. Allyxon Cua emphasized that the tech forum series would be the organization’s way of contributing to the country, through the application of technological know-how and expertise. The forum featuredkey speakers such as Philippine Global Road Safety Partnership Secretary-General Alberto Suansing, FOMI adviser Engr. Jaime Cancio, ENGIE Services Philippines business development manager SolenneCucchi, and Department of Transportation Undersecretary Thomas Orbos, whoshared their particular specializations in traffic and infrastructure and pitched their ideas for approaching the issue. These talks were then followed by a panel discussion and open forum. The event was unique in its invitation of various engineers, scientists, architects, businessmen, and thought leaders to participate in the forum. The participants were selected due to their likeminded belief in using technology in order to address the country’s issues.Keeping true to FOMI’s vision of upholding leadership, service, and fellowship, the forum created a space for conceptualizing new and holistic solutions for the good of the nation.
