MANILA, philippines — Police forces in Sulu were placed under highest security alert status after the bombing of two bridges in Panamao and Patikul town last week.

Director Felcisimo Khu, Jr., chief of the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations-Western Mindanao, said they have also coordinated with the military to secure some possible targets in the province.

“We are now on high level of alert, our personnel were directed to secure all bridges in the province,” said Khu.

On Saturday, the bridge in Barangay Pangdanin in Patikul town was totally damage when it was bomb by suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group.
