Marcos orders revamp of Palace human resource, awards program


President Marcos has ordered the reconstitution of the Office of the President (OP) Human Resource Merit Promotion and Selection Board (HRMPSB) for first and second level career positions, as well as the OP Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (OP-PRAISE) Committee.

Memorandum Order No. 24, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on May 2, said that the OP-HRMPSB will now be chaired by the Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration and vice-chaired by the Deputy Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs.
 

Among its members are the Deputy Executive Secretary for General Administration, Deputy Executive Secretary for Support Services and Auxiliaries, two representatives from the Office of the Executive Secretary, and the head of the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO).
 

Additionally, there will be one representative each from the OP Employees’ Network for first level and second level positions. The head of an office where a vacant position is will also join the members.
 

The HRMO will serve as secretariat to the OP-HRMPSB.
 

Memorandum Order No. 25, also signed by Bersamin, will also reconstitute the OP-PRAISE Committee for it to be chaired now by the Deputy Executive Secretary for Finance and Administration.
 

Members will come from different offices, such as a representative from the Office of the Executive Secretary, heads of the HRMO, Legal Office, Finance Office and Technical Services Office, and a representative for third level positions that will be assigned by the Executive Secretary.
 

A representative and alternate representative for first and second level positions will complete the committee members.
 

The HRMO will provide secretariat and administrative support to the committee.
