The commendation was made during a ceremony recognizing their dedication and perseverance in finishing their college studies while serving the community.

This is the city's way of giving free college education and special working student program for employees of the Pasig City government as testament to its leadership's belief that everyone should be given the chance to have quality education)," the local government unit (LGU) explained.

A total of 122 BAP students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig (PLP) from Batch 1 to Batch 4 since the program's inception in 2019 were awarded with certificates by the city government led by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and other city government officials.

"Ang mga nasabing mga estudyante ay mula sa tatlong programs: Bachelor of Arts in Business Management Major in Marketing Management, Bachelor of Elementary Education, at Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Bukod sa awardees, dumalo rin sa nasabing aktibidad ang 83 bagong aplikante na mula sa Batch 5 para sa kanilang assembly (The students came from three programs: Bachelor of Arts in Business Management Major in Marketing Management, Bachelor of Elementary Education, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Aside from the awardees, 83 new BAP applicants for the program's Batch 5 also attended the activity)," the city government said.

In his speech, Sotto said the students' exit from their comfort zones to continue their studies despite already earning a living was not easy. However, they still strived and did everything they could to finish their studies through the BAP.

Vice Mayor Dodot Jaworski also reminded the students to continue doing their best in their studies because it will not just boost their credentials but also help enhance the quality of service they are giving to the public.

PLP President Glicerio Maningas reminded the students to continue valuing the care and support of the local government and never waste the chance given to them to reach their dreams and goals.
