PRO-6 recovers P7.9-M shabu


ILOILO CITY – Police seized shabu and marijuana worth P7.9 million from 16 suspected drug pushers in a two-day anti-illegal drugs operation in Western Visayas.

The Police Regional Office-6 said that 813 grams of suspected shabu valued at P5.5 million and 20 kilos of marijuana worth P2.4 million were confiscated from May 14 to 15.

THE Police Regional Office-6 hauled in P7.9-million worth of shabu and marijuana in a two-day operation in Western Visayas.

“The seizure of these illegal drugs speaks of the dedication and hard work of our operatives on the ground,” said Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, PRO-6 director.

“Let us remain united and connected with the community and other agencies as we intensify our endeavors to eradicate this society’s menace,” added Wanky.

The PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) recorded the biggest haul with 320 grams of shabu worth P2.1 million in Pavia town, Iloilo province.

The San Carlos Component City Police Station in Negros Occidental recovered 20 grams of marijuana valued at P2.4 million.

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office conducted five operations, the Iloilo City Police Office, four; and the PRO-6 RPDEU, three.
