8 wanted persons fall in Mimaropa


CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro – Police arrested two most wanted persons in manhunt operations in the Mimaropa (Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) region on Friday, April 26.

The Police Regional Office 4-B Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division said Vincent, 37, the No. 1 most wanted person in Mimaropa, was arrested in Purok Magsasaka, Barangay Irawan, Puerto Princesa City.

Vincent had an arrest warrant issued by the Puerto Princesa City Regional Trial Court Branch 13 for statutory rape by sexual assault under Article 266-A(2) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(B) of  Republic Act 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law). Bail was set at P200,000.

Jaylord, 24, the ninth most wanted person in Mimaropa, was apprehended in Sitio Pamana, Barangay Catiningan, Socorro, Oriental Mindoro based on an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 41, in Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, for the non-bailable crime of rape as amended by Republic Act 11648.

Eight other wanted individuals were also caught. 

Reynold, 24; Marion, 31; Mario, 51, and Marvin, 26, were arrested for failure to appear on scheduled court hearing; Carlito, 28, for violation of Presidential Decree No. 449 (Cockfighting Law) as amended by PD No. 1602 (anti-gambling Law);  Linalyn, 54, estafa; and Leo, 40, and Jemar, 33, for direct assault upon an agent of a person in authority.

Police Brig. Gen. Roger L. Quesada, PRO-Mimaropa chief, commended operating units for successful anti-crime operations.
