P3.4-M shabu seized in Cotabato City

ILIGAN CITY – Authorities seized suspected shabu worth P3.4 million and four drug pushers were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Cotabato City on Thursday, April 18.

The suspects were identified as Sampulna Amboto Mague, alias Sampulna, 52, male; Tammy Slaiman Mague, 23, male; Armran Abdullah Engga, 19, male, and Noraida Anpog Solaiman, female.

Sampulna was a notorious drug peddler who operated in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, Cotabato City, and Davao City. He was arrested for drug pushing in 2013 in Makilala, North Cotabato.

Seized from the suspects were 13 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million, buy-bust money, four mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, and voter’s certificates.

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Director Gil Cesario Castro said that "this operation serves as a clear warning to those who engage in illegal drug activities that law enforcement agencies will not rest until drug violators are brought to jail.”

Two suspects are in the custody of the PDEA and two are with the Department of Social Welfare and Development. They face drug-related cases.
