Only one COVID-19 case added to DFA tally


The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Sunday said they received only one report of new confirmed COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) case of an overseas Filipino from Asia and the Pacific.

No new fatality and no new recovery were recorded today, according to the latest DFA report on the tally of COVID-19 cases involving Filipino nationals abroad.

To date, the total number of confirmed cases is at 11,199; total fatalities at 815, and total recoveries at 7,248. 

The Middle East and Africa remain as the combined region with the most number of confirmed COVID-19 cases and most number of deaths at 7,376 and 532, respectively. 

Despite the huge challenges posed by the pandemic, the DFA assured that it remains fully committed to monitoring the situation of affected overseas Filipinos.
