Photo of the Week: ‘Rayos Del Sol’
“This was taken during the landscape photography workshop in Batanes conducted by Jijo De Guzman. It was the final day of our trip, and we had a scheduled sunrise photoshoot at Diura Beach which features some big limestone formations, carved by the powerful waves that struck the island. Luckily, when we arrived at the location, the sky started to cast crepuscular rays, caused by the clouds that were blocking the sun. Quickly, we headed to look for compositions, and as for me, I ended up choosing the largest rock as my foreground, placing exactly the rays behind it. I wanted to capture the blessing of a majestic sunrise, having that sense of hopeful and glory of a new day.” – Bayani dela Pasion

And since ACR and Lightroom are twins, expect this soon in Lightroom, too. By the way, ACR 13.2 is looking a lot like Lightroom now with a film strip down below in the interface, but that’s for later.

When two become warriors of passion
Some gentlemen who found common ground in photography knew how to take their “cameraderie” to greater heights by making use of their other passions. In the case of Luis Harder who was featured in this section as “Photographer of the Week,” it’s through his involvement as current president of the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines (DSAPI) where he consistently spearheads activities to further bond and uplift the spirits of families.
