**BTS’ 'Butter' is No. 1 on Hot 100 for the third straight week (Big Hit Music / Billboard Charts)**

K-pop idol group BTS’ ‘Butter” has reigned on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for the third consecutive week, tying the record of their previous hit “Dynamite” on the chart.

For the latest chart, “Butter” garnered 15.4 million US streams (as of June 10 based on MRC Data), down by 19 percent compared to 19.1 million on the June 12-dated chart and 52 percent compared to 32.3 million streams in its No. 1 debut on the June 5-dated chart.

The digital single also sold 138,400 downloads, down 1 percent from 140,200 downloads in last week’s chart and a decrease of 43 percent from 242,800 downloads in its debut.

“Butter” also garnered 24.6 million radio airplay audience impressions as of June 13, an increase of 10 percent from 22.4 million impressions last week and up by 36 percent from 18.1 impressions in its debut.

The Hot 100 chart is based on US streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.

Billboard added that “Butter” maintained its No. 1 spot on the Digital Song Sales chart for the third straight week. It is now 19th on Streaming Songs from 10th last week and 28th on Radio Songs from 32nd last week.

For the first time, BTS reigned on top of Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks with “Butter,” and equaled the feat garnered by “Dynamite,” which became No. 1 on the chart for two straight weeks in September 2020 and returned to the top in October 2020.

“Sales for ‘Butter’ in its third week reflect availability for its original and instrumental versions released May 21; a ‘Hotter’ remix released May 28; and ‘Cooler’ and ‘Sweeter’ remixes released June 4, all discounted to 69 cents in all three frames. (Two other versions of ‘Butter’ on sale via BTS' U.S. webstore, a 7-inch vinyl single, for $7.98, and a cassette single, for $6.98, will count for chart tabulation only once they are shipped to consumers, scheduled for this Friday, June 18.),” according to Billboard.

Placing second on Hot 100 is Olivia Rodrigo's "Good 4 U," which kept its No. 2 spot for three straight weeks after debuting at No. 1 on the chart.

“‘Butter’ and ‘Good 4 U’ mark the first set of songs to rank at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on the Hot 100 for three consecutive weeks in 2021. The double-up is the greatest since Roddy Ricch's ‘The Box’ and Future's ‘Life Is Good’ featuring Drake, lined up in the same respective spots for eight straight weeks in January-March 2020,” added Billboard.
