Excesses, inequalities in nat’l budget bill
The Senate has been going through the proposed P4.5-trillion General Appropriation Bill for 2021 approved last month by the House of Representatives. The Senate will approve its own National Appropriation Bill which will then be consolidated by a Bicameral Conference Committee into the final Congress-approved bill for signing by President Duterte in December.

We are turning on our Christmas lights
New distinctive Christmas lanterns with 16 white rays spreading out from the center are now being installed on streetlight posts in Manila. Makati’s business district is now all lighted up at night by Ayala Land, an annual tradition. Caloocan’s Christmas lanterns at the giant posts holding up the elevated rails have lighted the city’s avenues for sometime now.
