Seven people arrested for presenting fake vaccination cards at Gensan airport
GENERAL SANTOS CITY – Local authorities arrested at least seven people who presented fake vaccination cards at the airport here last Saturday, November 27. Assistant city health officer Lalaine Calonzo said the suspects arrived in the same group from Manila aboard Cebu Pacific aircraft and were held by police aviation security personnel after they presented fake vaccination cards. The local Inter-Agency Task Force vs. Covid-19 has issued standing policy to exempt fully vaccinated arriving passengers from the mandatory 14-day quarantine. Calonzo said the suspects were brought to an isolation facility in Barangay Fatima for custody and they will be subjected to RT-PCR test on Monday. Police are set to file charges for falsification of public documents against he suspects most them are members of the Indigenous Peoples.
