Miss Manila returns with bigger stage through GMA, Miss Universe tie-up
Carrying the theme “New Manila, My Manila,” the revived pageant aims to showcase not only beauty but also the identity and aspirations of Manileñas in a changing capital.
Under the new partnership, the winner of Miss Manila will earn the right to represent Miss Universe-Manila in the prestigious Miss Universe Philippines, bringing her one step closer to the international stage.
Organizers said the relaunch signals a broader vision for the pageant, positioning it as a gateway for opportunities in entertainment, public service, and advocacy work.
The competition is open to women aged 18 and above, with a minimum height requirement of 5 feet 6 inches. It is set to officially launch in June.
With its expanded platform and industry backing, the new Miss Manila is poised to go beyond the city stage, potentially carrying Manila’s pride from local spotlight to the global arena.
