VP Sara claims 'Duter10' bets have more than majority of Filipinos support
Vice President Sara Duterte’s only concerns about the coming May 2025 midterm elections are vote buying and cheating since she’s already confident that the “Duter10” senatorial bets have “more than a majority support.”

In a media interview at the Zamboanga City Port on May 4, the Vice President expressed optimism about the fate of her father’s, former president Rodrigo Duterte, Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) senatoriables.
“Well, as with any elections, hindi namin alam kung ano talaga yung results (we don’t know what the results will be). But so far, kung basehan lang naman natin ‘yung reception o pagtanggap ng mga tao sa mga senator candidates ng (if we will base on the reception of the people to the senators of) DuterTEN, ng (of) PDP, okay naman (it’s okay). I think we have more than a majority support,” she said.
“But siyempre, mayroon din kaming concerns sa dayaan at mayroon din kaming concerns sa iyong vote buying (of course, we also have concerns about cheating and vote buying),” she added.
The official claimed of reports that the administration’s local candidates have access to the government’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), and Ayuda para sa Kapos ang Kita Program (AKAP) budgets.
“Kakausapin namin ‘yung partido ng PDP with regard to sa abuse ng AKAP at AICS (We will talk with the PDP party with regard to the abuse of AKAP and AICS),” Duterte said, lamenting that the Commission on Elections (Comelec) gave the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) exemption.
“So, lumalabas na parang ngang legal vote buying ang nangyayari ngayon (what’s happening now is legal vote buying),” she added.
While the Vice President has been claiming that her family is being politically harassed by the Marcos administration, she said these won’t affect her decision to run in 2028.
“Pero we need to think of a strategy para sa susunod na eleksyon. And itong 2025 election ang pinakamalapit na eleksyon sa 2028 na puwedeng pag-aralan (But we need to think of a strategy for the next elections. This 2025 election is the nearest election to 2028 that we can study),” she added.
