'Bahala siya sa buhay niya': Lacson sounds off on Antipolo road rage shooter

Senatorial candidate Panfilo "Ping" Lacson says the Antipolo City road rage shooter is a crazy man who must now "defend himself" in court. 

Lacson gave his two cents about the rather polarizing suspect in a press conference ahead of the Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas senatorial slate's campaign rally at Ynares Sports Arena.

Unfortunately, Antipolo City grabbed headlines the past few days because of road rage shooting involving suspect Kenneth Bautista, 28, a businessman. He ended up shooting to death the rider he had a fistfight with, while two other people were injured.

"Wala tayong maipapayo kung sira ulo (We can't give an advice to some who is sick in the head)," Lacson, a former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, said without naming anybody.

"Dapat ang PNP na lang ang ating medyo kalampagin sa pag-enforce ng batas especially sa gun control. Narespondehan naman nila, nahuli at bahala siya sa buhay niya (We should just tell the PNP to enforce the law especially on gun control. They responded to the incident, caught the suspect so he's on his own now)," he said.

"Defend niya sarili niya sa korte. Kasi mahirap magpayo sa ganung klaseng takbo ng utak (He should defend himself in court. It's difficult to advise people who think like that)," added Lacson, referring to the suspect. 

It should be noted that Bautista has a lot of supporters--and even hero-worshippers on social media following the traffic episode. 

Bautista has been dubbed the "Kamote slayer" by his "fans" online.
