Drug pusher yields P1-M shabu in buy-bust

ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu valued at P1 million in a buy-bust operation in Pavia, Iloilo on Saturday.

A suspected drug pusher, Je, a 49-year-old delivery truck driver and a high-value individual in the illegal drugs trade, was apprehended.

Recovered from the suspect by the Pavia Municipal Police Station Drug Enforcement Team was around 150 grams of shabu.

Police conducted a two-week surveillance against the suspect before he was apprehended. The suspect allegedly conducts transactions between Pavia and neighboring Iloilo City.

The Iloilo Police Provincial Office said that the suspect was arrested in 2020 in a buy-bust operation and was released.

Police Col. Bayani Razalan, Iloilo police chief, lauded operating units for arresting the suspect.

“This operation highlights our unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal drugs and holding perpetrators accountable.”
