P6.4-B shabu, marijuana seized, 786 drug pushers arrested in Cordillera in 2 years
CAMP DANGWA, Benguet – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera seized suspected shabu and marijuana valued at P6.4 billion and arrested 786 drug pushers in the Cordillera region from June 30, 2022 to July 31, 2024.

SHABU and marijuana worth P6.4 billion were seized in two years in the Cordillera region.
Police Col. Froilan Lopez, head of PRO-Cordillera Regional Operations Division, said they recovered 576,154.80 grams of shabu, 89.40 milliliters of liquid shabu, 8,495,882 marijuana plants, 84,384 marijuana seedlings, 7,018.54 kilograms of dried marijuana leaves, stalks, and fruiting tops, 729.22 milliliters of marijuana oil, and 1,502.36 grams of marijuana seeds with a total value of P6,463,399,869.60.
Seven-hundred eighty-six drug pushers were apprehended – 350 high-value and 436 street-level individuals.
Police Brig. Gen. David Peredo Jr., PRO-Cordillera chief, said that their campaign against illegal drugs succeeded and operations continue against drug pushers.
Peredo said they have addressed issues and concerns in his tenure and programs and projects were delivered to the community.
He said they are focused on discipline in line with the PRO-Cordillera slogan "Home of the Most Disciplined Cops" and disciplinary actions are given to lawmen who violate the rights of citizens.
“PRO-Cordillera’s mandate is to protect and maintain the peace and tranquility of the Cordillera. For us to carry out the programs and achieve success towards development, our unity is a great weapon and we help each other to suppress criminality in our society,” Peredo said.
