BACOLOD CITY – Two standard Philippine National Police (PNP) buildings with a total project cost of P35.5 million are being constructed in Negros Occidental.

Police Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 (Western Visayas) chief, led the groundbreaking of the new Bago City Police Station on Wednesday, February 28, in the presence of Police Col. Rainerio de Chavez, Negros Occidental police director.
Police Lt. Col. Jay Malong, Bago police director, said the construction of the two-story police station was funded by the national government for P25 million.
Malong said that it is situated beside the existing police station in Barangay Lag-asan, in a lot donated by the city government. It is targeted to be completed by next year, he added.
He said that it will boost their morale as well as their services to the people.
Vice Mayor Ramon Torres encouraged lawmen to be more hardworking and dedicated in serving the people of Bago.
De Chavez led the groundbreaking of a two-story PNP building in Hacienda Patlagan, Barangay Purisima, Manapla on Wednesday.
It was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2024 with a budget P10.5 million, according to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo). The Manapla Municipal Police Station is headed by Police Major Robelito Mariano.
