ILOILO CITY – Police seized suspected shabu worth P51.6-million in Western Visayas in January.

The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 said they confiscated 7,596.2508 grams of shabu in 166 anti-drug operations in the region comprised of Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, and Negros Occidental as well as the highly urbanized cities of Iloilo and Bacolod.
"Through our unity – the police force, the community, and other agencies – the day will come when Western Visayas, will be free from drugs for the prosperous future of the generations to come,” said Police Brig. Gen. Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 director.
The PRO-6 Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit led an anti-drug operation in which P4.96-million worth of shabu was seized and two suspected drug pushers – Dindo and Gigil – were arrested in Santa Barbara, Iloilo at the end of last month.
