Bato on Lascañas' claims: 'Paputol ako ng leeg agad'
Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa on Friday, February 2 said he will have his head chopped off if retired police officer and self-confessed former Davao Death Squad hitman Arturo Lascañas’ claims were true.
“Isa lang masasabi ko dyan…Paputol ako ng leeg, papaputol ako ng leeg kaagad kung ma-prove niya yan na si Sara nasa likuran niyan (I will chop my nect, I will chop my neck immediately as soon as he is able to prove that Vice President Sara Duterte is behind that allegations),” Dela Rosa said in an interview with reporters at the sidelines of the Senate’s hearing on the People’s Initiative (PI) in Davao City.
Lascañas’ had earlier claimed that the vice rresident was among those who organized the Duterte administration’s brutal war on drugs.
Aside from the Vice President, Lascañas also earlier linked Vice Mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go to the drug war.
In a separate statement, Go dismissed Lascañas claims as “pure lies and fabrications—plain and simple.”
According to Lascañas, Go was tasked to obtain the list of the Davao death squad’s targets.
“Walang ganyang order na ibinigay si dating pangulong Duterte (Ex-president Duterte did not give such order). Even since when he was still the mayor of Davao City, never nagbigay ng ganyang klaseng order si PRRD. Kailanman ay wala siyang inutos sakin na iligal (he never gave that kind of order. He never ordered me to do something illegal),” Go said in a statement.
“I don’t follow illegal orders from anyone, kahit sino man sila (whoever they are),” he said.
Go also said Lascañas allegations were mere rehashed issues.
“Kung may katotohanan sa sinabi niya at may tunay na pagkakasala kami, dapat noon may nakasuhan na. Lumang tugtugin na yan, estilo nilang bulok para tapunan ng putik ang iba upang magmukhang malinis sila (If their claims are true and then cases should have been filed since then. That’s already an old tune. Their style is rotten, they want to throw mud on other people to make them appear they are clean),” he said.
Go also stressed he is more focused on his work as a senator.
