All commuters can enjoy free rides on the Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2) in celebration of the 76th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced.
In a statement, the LRTA said the free rides will be offered during peak hours from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The initiative, led by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Commission on Human Rights (CHR), underscores the government’s commitment to human rights advocacy and public service.
Adopted by the United Nations in 1948, the UDHR remains a key document in promoting and protecting human rights worldwide.
