2 arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Las Piñas City


Two men were arrested by the Las Piñas City Police for illegal possession of firearms in two seperate police operations on Thursday, Nov. 21.

Las Piñas City Police chief Col. Sandro Tafalla identified the suspects as “Sadie,” 39, and  “Jaime Boy,” 38.

Tafalla said Sadie was arrested by members of the Daanghari Substation 6 in Barangay Almanza Dos after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen regarding a suspicious individual in the area brandishing a firearm.

A .38 caliber revolver with two live ammunition was recovered from the suspect.

Meanwhile, Jaime Boy was arrested by members of the CAA Substation 3 after receiving a call from the Las Piñas City Police Tactical Operations Center about a domestic disturbance involving a man carrying a handgun in Barangay Pulanglupa Dos.

A .38 caliber revolver was also recovered from Jaime Boy as well as a backpack containing a bolt cutter.

The arrested suspects were detained at the Las Piñas City Police custodial facility and were charged with illegal possession of firearms.
