German arrested at NAIA for refusing security check


Airport authorities arrested a German national for allegedly refusing to undergo security screening at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

The arrest of 38-year old Soleyman Kucukboga occurred during the final security screening process before boarding a flight bound for Vancouver, Canada via Philippine Airlines flight PR-116.

The German allegedly refused to comply with the mandatory security screening procedures despite repeated requests from the Office for Transportation (OTS) personnel. 

The passenger's actions escalated into a physical altercation after he allegedly pushed and kicked a police officer at NAIA Police Station 1. 

This resulted in his arrest. He is currently in the custody of NAIA Police Station 1.
