A 32-year-old motorcycle rider died after being hit by a 10-wheeler truck in Manila on Saturday night, September 28.
The Manila Police District (MPD) identified the suspect as Paul Semenio, 46, a resident of Valenzuela City.
Based on the initial investigation, the victim identified as Leland Bernal, was cruising Mel Lopez Boulevard in Tondo at around 9 p.m. when it avoided a tricycle that was counterflowing.
Authorities said the motorcycle rider lost control and fell on the pavement.
They said the 10-wheeler truck which was traversing behind the victim suddenly ran over him.
The victim was rushed to Tondo Medical Center Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The truck driver is currently held at the MPD police station and will face homicide charges.
