The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring cloud clusters outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

PAGASA weather specialist Patrick Del Mundo, during a live report on Saturday, Sept. 9, announced that there is a low chance for the cloud clusters to develop into a low pressure area (LPA).
“Sa labas ng ating PAR ay mayroon tayong minomonitor na cloud clusters at sa ngayon ay mababa po ang tsansa na ito'y maging bagyo within the next 24 to 48 hours (Outside PAR, we are monitoring cloud clusters, and as of now, there is a little chance that it may possibly develop into a low pressure area),” Del Mundo said.
He added that PAGASA will continue to monitor the cloud clusters in the coming days.
Meanwhile, PAGASA said the southwest monsoon or “habagat” is still affecting the western portion of North and Central Luzon.
For most parts of the country, PAGASA said fair and humid weather, as well as partly cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, lightning, and thunder due to localized thunderstorms, are expected in the afternoon and at night. (Lizst Torres Abello)
