Bingcang takes oath as BCDA acting chief

Joshua Bingcang took his oath Tuesday, June 6, as the new acting president and chief executive officer of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).

Malacañang, through the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), posted a photo of the oath-taking of Bingcang on Facebook.
He was sworn into office by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.
The PCO said Bingcang was also named as member of BCDA’s Board of Directors apart from being its acting president and CEO.
Prior to his appointment, Bingcang served as senior vice president of the BCDA until he became president and CEO of Clark International Airport Corp., another government-owned and controlled corporation, in March.
A subsidiary of the BCDA, CIAC is mandated to ensure the development of the Clark civil aviation complex under the supervision of the Department of Transportation (DOTr).
During his previous BCDA stint, Bingcang had supervised the construction and maintenance of the 94-kilometer Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway as its former project manager. He also handled the Subic-Clark railway project.
An engineer by profession, he holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University ot the Philippines (UP) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Holy Angel University.
