Around 1,000 workers, including foreigners, have been rescued by joint operatives led by the Philippine National Police - Anti Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) in Clark, Pampanga.
The rescued individuals were allegedly forced to work for a cyber fraudulent industry.
The workers are composed of various nationalities including Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, and Filipinos among others.

The Philippine National Police - Anti Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) bared Friday, May 5, that it has rescued around 1,000 workers, including foreigners, who were allegedly forced to work for a cyber fraudulent industry in Pampanga.

The workers who are composed of various nationalities including Chinese, Vietnamese, Indonesians, and Filipinos among others were saved in an establishment in Clark Free Port Zone, Clark, Pampanga.
“This is a case of human trafficking and we are still processing everything,” Police Lt. Michelle Sabino, spokesperson of PNP-ACG, said.
“All the victims will remain here while waiting for their embassy to process their papers back to their country,” she added.

The operation was jointly conducted by teams from the PNP-ACG, Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC), Bureau of Immigration (BI), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT), and PNP Special Action Force (SAF).
