Kapamilya star Ion Perez, a partner of ace comedian Vice Ganda, celebrated his 33rd birthday with a simple party attended by his family and close friends on Sunday night.

Guests shared photos and videos of Ion's birthday celebration on  X (formerly known as Twitter). Also in attendance were the families of both Vice and Ion, including the supportive mothers of the two celebrities.

Ion thanked his guests as he delivered a short but heartfelt message during the party.

"Alam kasi ng Diyos lahat ng pinagdarasal ko kaya lahat tayo nandito. Lahat ng hindi ko ine-expect andito ngayon. Basta. maraming, maraming, maraming salamat sa inyo," said Ion. 

"Sa lahat ng tumanggap sa pagkatao ko, sa boses ko, kung paano ako magsalita, at kung paano ako mag react. Hindi ko kasi kayang magkunwari. Hindi ko kayang magkunwari para magustuhan ako ng iba.

"Hindi ko man ma-isa isa yung hindi ko ine-expect pero maraming, maraming salamat. Let's go, let's party!" Ion ended.

After Ion's speech, Vice Ganda could be heard in the background and said: "Yes! I love you!"
