In an advisory, PAGASA said thunderstorms are “more likely” to develop over Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, and Laguna within 12 hours.

Residents and other individuals in the said areas were advised to “continue monitoring for updates.”

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are also expected to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms brought by the trough of Low Pressure Area (LPA ) or localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms may occur in these areas, PAGASA warned.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said that “amihan” continues to affect Northern and Central Luzon.

Cloudy skies with rains caused by the northeast monsoon are expected in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, and the northern portion of Quezon.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas.

Likewise, cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms brought by the trough of Low Pressure Area (LPA) are also expected in Eastern Visayas and Caraga. These may lead to possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned.

In the Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, and the rest of Central Luzon, PAGASA said that partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains brought by the “amihan” may also be experienced in these areas.

However, the weather bureau said that “no significant impact” is expected.
