It was distributed by the DSWD and Cayetano’s representatives on Thursday,
March 9.

Cayetano’s “Presyo, Trabaho, Kita/Kaayusan” (PTK) program is aligned with
the DSWD’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS).

The WVTC has been receiving aid since 2015 as beneficiary of Cayetano’s PTK
program.

WVTC chairperson Raymundo “Boyet” Parcon said that the money will help them repay their loans after the implementation of the transport modernization
program with mini-buses last year.

WVTC President Noel Garcia echoed Parcon said it is vital aid as members are
gradually phasing out traditional jeepneys with mini-buses to serve daily
commuters in this city.

The distribution of cash aid amid the efforts to modernize the country’s
transport sector was conducted in partnership with Iloilo City Rep. Julienne
Baronda and the Iloilo City government.
