Scattered rain showers prevail over parts of PH

Some parts of the country may continue to experience overcast skies with scattered rain showers due to the shear line and northeast monsoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, March 7.

In the next 24 hours, the shear line, or the boundary between cold air from the northeast monsoon and warm air from the easterlies, may bring cloudy weather with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Oriental.

Quezon province and Bicol Region may also have cloudy and rainy weather due to the northeast monsoon, or “amihan.”

PAGASA warned those in areas affected by the shear line and amihan to stay vigilant against possible flooding or landslides during moderate to occasional heavy rains.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms may affect Palawan, the rest of Visayas, and the rest of Mindanao.

PAGASA also warned against possible flooding or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will continue to have “fair” weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and light rains.
